We are well into our running season and are enjoying the results of our labours with the completed enlarged track at Vivary Park and the extension at Creech - now making excellent progress. One or two brave souls have taken their locomotives to the far side of the Recreation Ground at Creech on the new track and have greatly enjoyed the much longer run. We hope that it will not be too long before the new circle is fully completed.

In past years, we have organised coaches to take members to various Model Engineering Exhibitions - but we stopped through lack of interest - those members who wanted to go were content to make their own arrangements.

Following a fresh request for us to again provide coaches, then we will do so - but only if there is sufficient interest. We will organise a coach to the Model Engineer Exhibition at Sandown Park on Friday 11th December - but only if members will firmly commit themselves to coming NOW. No wishy-washy “I might be interested” sort of things. We did make a loss on the last organised coach trip to Sandown because of last minute “drop outs”.

I cannot tell you how much your coach ticket will cost at this stage as it will depend on the number of people who want to go and the size of the coach that will have to be hired.

So if you want to go on a coach, then phone me - firmly commit yourself and be prepared to pay even if you don’t go. We do not aim to make a profit but we do not want to make a loss. 01297 34928
