On the completion of our successful Exhibition last year, Bruce Nottrodt, the Exhibition Manager stepped down, and so far, a successor has not been appointed to take on that role. At the moment, the pre Exhibition arrangements are in the hands of the existing sub-committee who are carrying on, but fortunately in the background, we have the benefit of Paul Norton’s experience as a previous Exhibition Manager to draw on, as Paul has very kindly agreed to keep a friendly eye on the progress that is being made. In his time as Manager, Paul introduced and compiled a data-base of models belonging to members so that the Exhibition Sub-committee could choose models from this each year, to ensure that as far as possible, we could show a different range at each Exhibition. Included with this Oily Rag is a form which we would be grateful if you would kindly complete and return to any committee member so that the data-base can be brought up to date. If you would prefer to post it in, then please post it to Gerry Willis whose address is given inside the front cover of this magazine. The forms will be passed to Nigel Gettings who will then up-date the data base from them. There is a section on the form relating to “stewarding”, but that may be ignored at this early stage. Please do complete the form and return it as soon as you can, as if we do not receive it back, then it means that a member of the sub-committee will have to telephone you to nudge you for itanother additional task for them! If you would like to help with the organisation of the Exhibition, then do please step forward and let us knowadditional help would be very much appreciated. ***** |
