Following the publication of the picture of Rambo driving the Westwood Garden Tractor in the last issue of the “Oily Rag”, the following Email has been received:-

There I was, minding my own business, just standing in the middle of the Playing Field when I was suddenly and unceremoniously up ended and deposited on the bonnet of this metal monster driven by an equally grumpy monster called “Rambo”. I was then taken under protest to the far corner of the Field where I was told politely to “GET OFF and open that xxxxxx Gate”

I can tell you that it was such a shock to my system that every time I go to the Playing Field now, I have to keep looking behind me. There should be warning signs erected letting people know what to expect!

Hi Tony!

I saw on the Steamboat Association Webpage an item about a tiny model triple expansion marine engine, no taller than a 1p piece, and thought other members would be interested.

Web surfers can now look through the microscope of Conservator Efstathios Tsolis of the Science Museum to view the conservation of the Museum’s smallest steam engine - a triple expansion marine engine measuring a mere half inch long.
