A very successful running season ended with the Santa Specials - with three steam locomotives supplying the power for them!

Everybody who was there should be congratulated as the temperature was very low - one driver was heard to say that it was “Bloody cold”!

Passenger numbers were steady with a total of £112 in donations received. Very many thanks to everybody who made the extended railway such a success during the year. The trackwork has proved to be excellent with only fine tuning necessary during the winter period. We look forward to everybody having a full head of steam for the coming season. Thank you all!

As, I think, most members already know, I am involved with the “British Horological Institute’s John Harrison Research Project”.

A great deal of work, both practical and theoretical involving ancient records at the London Records Office and elsewhere has already been completed in connection with it.

As more information becomes available, further progress will be made in the design of the proposed timepiece.

I shall be very pleased to speak to anybody who would like to know more about the project, and please let me know.
