Public Running at Christmas proved to be a great success, with Father Christmas (complete with Shades) encouraging a steady flow of eager passengers. A report on the event can be found here.

Track maintenance has been limited to regular inspections prior to Running Days as the hard and heavy work done in previous years has paid off so that the track remains in good order. I hope that all locos will be boiler-tested and ready for action by Easter so that we can look forward to another good year. No further progress to report on the extension of the track as that remains with the Council.

Following my recent Talk on Clocks and the very good turnout of members on the evening, I feel that there could be sufficient interest within the Club to start a Horological sub-group. If anyone is interested, then please let me know and I will see what can be done.

I shall be very pleased to help interested members in any way that I can.

A name for the sub-group could be “The Tickers” - only time will tell!
