Roland was a member of our Society for many years and was a great enthusiast for his Gauge One Garden Railway. Older members will remember his kind invitations to us to visit his home in Ash Priors to see his Railway in full operation and the very enjoyable and entertaining evenings that we had there.

In the early years of our incorporation into a limited company, his extensive knowledge of Company Law proved invaluable to us, in ensuring that we conformed with our new legal obligations.

He will be remembered as a kind, quiet and thoughtful man with an agreeable sense of humour. Our sympathy goes out to his wife, Shirley, his children and his grandchildren.
