When I read the contribution in the Winter Oily Rag written by the junior member Simon Gates, I couldn’t help thinking what a refreshing change it was to read of the enthusiasm that he brought to his new hobby. We all moan about the shortcomings of the youth of today but here is an opportunity for club members to build on this eagerness, It could prove rewarding all round. Just think if, thanks to his grandmother and his parents who first awakened his interest, TME could nurture a future engineer.
